This is no 9-5 internship. It’s a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well. Most weeks you’ll only be in the lab three days a week 9am-4pm. The rest of the time you’ll be working on your projects, whether that is from the comfort of your home or a café on campus in the sun. Some days are pretty crazy, you’ll be on film for PBS one minute, and running field studies the next. Some days, you can kick back for the day at 11am. There’s always work to do, but ultimately you get one you want from the experience. The more you get involved, the more you’ll come away feeling like you’ve had a big impact. For example, many of previous interns have had their summer projects or written articles published.

The following are two sample schedules to give you a taste of the wide range of things you’ll be involved in.
